AN Edmonton man is due to appear in court next month after being charged with possessing an al-Qaeda magazine.
Hakan Ertarkan, 21, was arrested by counter-terror police on April 12, where he was allegedly found to have a CD containing an issue of Inspire – the terror group's online English-language magazine.
Mr Ertarkan, of Amersham Avenue, was charged today with possessing a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 1.
Inspire was launched by al-Qaeda in July 2010 as a guide to potential jihadis, with articles on bomb-making and other terrorism-related activities.
