Five men were arrested during police raids in Haringey this morning, as part of an operation to target suspected gang members.
Officers visited ten addresses in Haringey from 4.45am searching for the suspects, who are accused of disorder in Wood Green during the London riots last August.
The addresses of two men who are already in custody were searched for evidence in connection to criminal damage caused in Wood Green on August 6 and 7 last year.
They also seized suspects’ mobile phones.
Searches were carried out in Turnpike Lane, Lordship Lane, Abbotsford Avenue and Landsdown Road.
Two of the men arrested were found at a property in Morley Avenue, Wood Green and escorted to Paddington Green police station in riot vans.
Police were at the property for more than an hour searching for evidence, while four riot vans waited outside.
