Witnesses sought following Tottenham shooting and stabbing
3:44pm Tuesday 14th February 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
Witnesses are sought following a shooting and stabbing at a party in Tottenham on Sunday morning, which left four men injured.
Officers were called to 73-95 Lawrence Road at about 6am, following reports of gun fire. The incident, which is believed to have taken place inside the building, then continued into the street.
The multi-use building is also used by Fountain Gate Chapel, which had no involvement in the incident, contrary to previous reports.
A 38-year remains in a serious, but stable condition, in an east London hospital after suffering gunshot wounds.
Two men, aged 28 and 37, were also taken to an east London hospital with stab injuries.
A fourth man, aged 30, has been released from a hospital in north London after suffering head injuries.
Detective sergeant Jez Dargan, from the trident gang crime command, is leading the investigation. He said: “We believe there were a number of people at this function and I would urge anyone who attended the venue to contact us, even if you did not witness the incident or the events leading up to the incident.”
