Police seek good samaritan who protected woman in Tottenham attack

A good samaritan who protected a woman during an attack in Tottenham on Monday is being sought by the police as a witness.

The man, who was passing by, disturbed another man who had pushed a 19-year-old woman to the floor in Beaconsfield Road at 4.45am.

He then chased off the suspect into West Green Road but the police are unsure what happened next.

The suspect is described as black, in his late 20s and was wearing a baseball cap and a dark jacket with a hood, which was either attached to the jacket or to another clothing layer.

There is no description of the passer-by.
