Television presenter and businesswoman Saira Khan paid a visit to a Tottenham primary school on Thursday as part of a country-wide initiative to encourage young entrepreneurs.

The presenter, who appeared in BBC show The Apprentice, visited Risley Avenue Primary School in The Roundway with her team from the hit CBBC show Trade Your Way to the USA.

The children were given tips and advice for setting up businesses, from generating ideas to creating logos and jingles.

Headteacher at Risley Avenue Primary School Robert Singh said: "Saira Khan was really inspiring and the school is buzzing with ideas from a summer café to art sales.

"Any money the pupils make will be put towards a school project or a charity of their choice."

One pupil, Hanna, said: "It was the most superior day I ever had. I found out interesting things about business and my jingle was very funny and amusing."

The visit, which was the only one in Haringey, was one of 72 to be made across England, Scotland and Wales by Saira and her team.

The visits aim to inspire young children from less privileged backgrounds to think about a career in business.
