Spurs legends to compete in charity match
8:50am Sunday 20th May 2012 in News By John Toner
Former Spurs and Charlton legends are expected to go head-to-head in a charity football match next weekend.
The match, in Hackney Marshes, is to show support for the mental health awareness charity Positive Mental Attitude.
Janette Hynes MBE, founder and chief executive of PMA, said: "It will be a massive boost to all involved to have the legends of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club come down on the day.
"We are hoping that the day will help us highlight the service and that the general public will realise that mental health issues can strike anyone at anytime."
Although it is not yet confirmed which stars will play the match, legends such as Gary Brooke, Gary Mabbutt, Darren Anderton and Mark Falco are all rumoured to be playing.
It is likely players from Charlton Athletic will play, although this remains unconfirmed.
The match will take place on Sunday, May 27, and kick off is at 3pm.
