1:50pm Wednesday 13th June 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
The New Tottenham Singers prepare for the Summer Concert.
A Tottenham-based choir will sing its heart out in their Summer Concert this month.
The New Tottenham Singers, which is made up of more than 50 singers, will perform a range of numbers from Mozart to Michael Jackson at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Saturday, June 23.
Yvonne Hunt, who is a member of the choir, said: “We have a 16-piece orchestra and for an amateur orchestra to get a musical accompaniment is something really special and is something I am really looking forward to. It will be something really quite special.”
The majority of the singers, who are aged between seven and 85 years old, are from Tottenham, although a few are based in Crouch End and Enfield.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £10. To book, call The New Tottenham Singers on 0208 365 5450.
