Haringey Aquathlon to take place next month

People from across the borough are being called to take part in an Aquathlon to raise money for charity next month.

Following the success of Team GB in the Olympics and the Brownlee brothers in the triathlon, people now have the chance to take part in a community Aquathon.

The Haringey Aquathlon, for people aged 16 and up, will take place at the Park Road Leisure centre and will involve a swim in the Park Road Lido and finish on a local playing field at the end of the run.

The Aquathon will only involve a swim and run as opposed to the Olympic triathlon event which involves a swim, cycle and run.

Money raised from the event will go towards the  founding of a new triathlon club for the borough and to Hornsey based charity Action for Kids.

To take part in the event costs £10 and those interested in taking part can sign up by calling 07718 394 754 or for to www.regonline.co.uk/haringeyaquathlon.
