Fake council email scam conning people into paying parking tickets

An email scam has been set up to con people into paying a fake parking ticket to Haringey Borough Council.
An email, which looks like a genuine council email, is being sent to people in the borough asking for money to pay a parking Penalty Charge Notice.
However, the website contained in the email has nothing to do with the council and may also contain a virus.
The council, which does not send out emails asking for parking ticket payments, is urgently working to have the website closed down.
