Why anyone would want to vote for the Liberal Democrat party is a mystery to me - it's just so pathetic.
In one of its recent campaign leaflets for the Highgate by- election, the Lib Dems attacked the Conservatives because an abandoned bike had not been removed for five years. But it's the Lib Dems who have held office in Highgate in recent years and all one of their ward councillors needed to do was to pick up the telephone and ask the council to remove the offending item.
Again, a wall at Toyne Way, Highgate, has been in a state of disrepair for the past six months, but Highgate's Lib Dem councillors have done absolutely nothing about it. Once she heard about it, though, Tottenham's Labour councillor Sheila Peacock immediately got onto the Homes for Haringey team and had the debris from the demolished wall cleared on Friday, February 22, and the borough surveyors have issued a job reference to have the wall repaired.
Why should Highgate residents have to put up with useless Lib Dem councillors who, following the example of their Lib Dem MP, only seem to draw their council allowance as pin money to pay for their own domestic cleaners?
