Tottenham's young stars thumped Peterborough United 8-1 on Tuesday, with promising midfielder Alex Pritchard scoring four in 20 minutes at Hotspur Way.

A Cristian Ceballos goal gave the Spurs development squad a 1-0 lead at half-time, before a rampant second period that began with a guided finish from Pritchard.

The impressive 19-year-old then made it 5-0 with three more good finishes, including a bending 20-yard free-kick and an outstanding strike that finished off a mazy run.

Jonson Clarke-Harris’ 30-yard screamer was quite a consolation for Boro, but Ceballos bent home his second goal of the day as Tottenham added a sixth

Massimo Luongo added the seventh after some neat interplay before Shaquile Coulthirst bundled home a Pritchard pull-back to complete the goal-fest.
