London Skolars have confirmed the re-signing of Ade Adebisi for next season.

Injuries limited Adebisi’s appearances in 2012 but he still weighed in with 13 tries in 16 starts. He has scored an impressive 43 tries in 56 games for the Skolars.

After committing himself to the club for another season, the 26-year-old said: “2012 was frustrating as I was unable to complete the season but I am fighting fit now and raring to go. Joe Mbu has put together a competitive squad and I know I will have to fight for my place in the team but I feel we have a real chance of promotion this year.”

Adebisi will continue to combine his rugby playing with his job as a support manager for security firm Wilson James and has recently been adopted as an ambassador for the Sickle Cell Society.

“I want to do everything in my power to help the Society,” he said. “I want to speak to as many people as possible, to get children and parents to understand the condition.”

Skolars General Manager Howard Kramer said: “Ade is a big character at the club and was sorely missed when he had fitness and health issues towards the end of last season.

“Everyone is delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to watching him add a few more tries to his already impressive haul.”
