London Skolars boosted by partnership with London Broncos
11:13am Tuesday 12th February 2013 in Sport
Following the recent signing of a partnership agreement between London Skolars and Super League side London Broncos, five Broncos players have been dual registered and played for the London Skolars on Sunday.
This is the maximum number of players that can appear for the club at any one time under the new regulations, although multiple players can be dual registered for the club.
The five Broncos players to sign dual registration forms, which enabled them to play for Skolars last weekend, were Erjon Dollapi, Mason Caton-Brown, Matthew Cook, Mike Bishay and Oscar Thomas.
With the exception of Thomas, the dual-registered players enjoyed their first action in a Skolars shirt when they played in the 44-0 pre-season win over the Scottish Exiles at New River.
Skolars general manager Howard Kramer said: “The club continue to enjoy an excellent working relationship with Broncos and we are delighted to welcome these talented players for the 2013 season.
“Last season we saw the effect Lamont Bryan and Rob Thomas had as dual registered players and the continuation of the arrangement can only benefit both clubs and the personal development of the players.”
