Rhodes Avenue School earned a place at Lord’s in the finals of the British Land Kids Cricket League.
The semi-finals saw eight schools emerge victorious to earn themselves a spot in the league’s grand final and the Haringey primary school was one of them.
There were 16 schools who battled it out to reach the semi-final stages, securing their places by defeating other local schools in their respective London borough finals.
The final will take place at the MCC Indoor School at Lord’s on Thursday, March 7.
The British Land Kids Cricket League, now in its seventh year, is the largest children’s cricket league in the UK, with over 2,500 girls and boys from 250 state primary schools taking part in the competition.
General manager of Capital Kids Cricket, John Sullivan, said: “It has been an immensely exciting league this year. The standard of cricket has been exceptional and I am really looking forward to the grand final.”
Nigel Webb, Head of Development at British Land, said: “Building on the recent success of the England Test cricket team in India, it has been incredibly exciting to see some of the country’s brightest and youngest cricketing talent on display in the British Land Capital Kids League semi-finals.”
