London Skolars ease to South Wales Scorpions win

London Skolars made an impressive start to the group stages of the Northern Rail Cup after an emphatic 54-12 win at the South Wales Scorpions.

The visitors raced into the lead with three tries in just 11 minutes.

Prop forward Rob Thomas took the ball over the tryline for the opener.

James Anthony received a pass from Oscar Thomas to add the second before Dylan Skee finished for the third try.

Thomas scored on his debut and Smokie Junor touched down in the corner to put Skolars further ahead.

Anthony notched his second try just before the break after Joe Price’s run created the opportunity.

In the second half, David Stephenson scored before Anthony completed his hat-trick.

The Scorpions got a consolation effort but Stephenson finished off a move.

The Skolars completed the rout when Jack Dillon scored their tenth try.
