The majority of Tottenham fans would be happy for Tim Sherwood to remain in charge until the end of the season, according to an Enfield Independent poll.

When asked how long they want Sherwood to be in control of the first team, 57 per cent said he should keep the job until the end of the season and the club should then review the situation.

Other supporters are more cautious however - 37 per cent believe Sherwood should only be in charge for the next few games until another replacement is found.

Only six per cent think he should be given the job permanently now.

Sherwood is in temporary control of the first team along with coaches Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey while the club "progress discussions" with regard to a new boss.
