London Skolars have strengthened their squad with the signings of Matt Bradley and Courtney Davies.

Bradley has joined from Championship 1 side University of Gloucester All Golds having made 14 appearances in 2013 kicking 29 goals.

Bradley, who has gained representative honours for England Students Rugby League and England Colleges in rugby union, said: "I've had three very enjoyable years at Gloucester and playing week in week out in Championship 1 was a great experience for me.

"The chance to move to London and play for Skolars was too good an opportunity to turn down and I have been very impressed with Joe Mbu’s plans for the team. I can’t wait to get started.”

Young half back-talent Davies has arrived from South Wales Scorpions. The 19-year-old was captain of Wales Under-18s in 2012.

He started at Neath Port Talbot Steelers in their junior set-up and went on to play for the old Celtic Crusaders and the Scorpions Academy.

Skolars head coach Mbu said: “Whilst we have lost a couple of key players from last year I have had the opportunity to bring in two very talented young players who already have experience playing in our league.

"I believe they will prove to be very valuable additions to the squad. I was impressed by their desire to not only relocate to London but to improve as players. I believe I can offer them that platform.”
