Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado is being targeted by Atletico Madrid as Spurs look to cash in on the Spanish flop, according to the London Evening Standard.
Soldado, who had scored 59 goals for Valencia in the past three seasons, could only manage six this term with new Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino willing to listen to offers for the 29-year-old.
La Liga winners Atletico are rumoured to be interested as they look likely to lose striker Diego Costa to Chelsea.
However, Atletico are looking at other striking options including Chelsea duo Romelu Lukaku and Fernando Torres, as well as Porto hitman Jackson Martinez and Manchester City’s Alvaro Negrado.
Pochettino is looking to former club Southampton for re-enforcements, with Jay Rodriguez also understood to be a target.
