Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will look to take advantage of a potential clear-out at White Hart Lane by bringing Andros Townsend and Michael Dawson to newly-promoted Queens Park Rangers, according to the Daily Express.

The Hoops won promotion back to the Premier League last weekend and Redknapp, who left Spurs in 2012 after four years in charge, is understood to be keen on a reunion with Townsend and Dawson.

England winger Townsend, 22, spent the second half of the 2012/13 season on loan at Loftus Road, impressing hugely as the R's almost avoided the drop after looking dead and buried before Redknapp's arrival.

Townsend started last season in superb form under Andre Villas-Boas but after the Portuguese was sacked, found game time hard to come by thanks to a succession of injuries and Tim Sherwood's preference to play Christian Eriksen in one of the wide midfield berths.

The Leytonstone-born winger ended the campaign with just 12 league starts after a bright start brought an England debut and a maiden England goal.

Redknapp had tried to lure Townsend back to West London at the beginning of last season without success.

Experienced centre-back Dawson is another with QPR history, having nearly signed for Rangers ahead of the 2012/13 season.

The former England international had been given permission to join the R's after a £9m fee was agree with then-boss Villas-Boas but the 30-year-old stayed at White Hart Lane and was appointed club captain.

Dawson started 31 of Spurs' 38 Premier League fixtures last term but made his last England appearance in 2011.

Everton and Newcastle United are also believed to be keen on a deal for former Nottingham Forest defender Dawson.
