Spurs midfielder Nabil Bentaleb was an unused substitute as Algeria were knocked out of the World Cup by Germany in extra-time this evening.
The midfielder could only watch from the bench as his team-mates took the star-studded Germans to extra-time, failing to capitalise on a number of good chances themselves.
Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle scored two minutes into extra-time before Arsenal's Mesut Ozil added a second in the 119th minute.
Algeria were not to be denied, though, pulling one back just 60 seconds later through Abdelmoumene Djabou.
Germany will now meet Hugo Lloris' France in the quarter-finals on Friday.
