Haringey Borough’s impressive start to the season continued with a comfortable 3-0 win at Waltham Forest in the Essex Senior League on Saturday.
The visitors went close to opening the scoring through Dean Fenton but he fired narrowly wide.
But Boro took the lead when Walid Matata struck a powerful shot into the net to take him to eight goals already this season.
Haringey made it 2-0 seven minutes later when Arian Maleknia poked home after a goalmouth scramble.
The hosts missed a glaring opportunity when they headed wide from just yards out.
But Boro wrapped up the points in the 78th minute when Fenton produced a neat finish from a tight angle.
Waltham Forest finished the game with ten men and Anthony McDonald was denied a goal late on when his lob was ruled out for offside.
Boro have decided to make their home game with Newham on Saturday free for supporters to mark Non League Day.
