Essex Senior League leaders Haringey Borough battled to a 3-1 win over ground sharers Greenhouse London.

Boro opened the scoring on Saturday in the 13th minute through Daniel Aristidou but the hosts quickly levelled.

Haringey improved after the break and regained the lead via an own goal before Greenhouse were reduced to ten men.

Darrell Cox sealed the points late on when his cross-shot found the net.

Boro’s home game with Sporting Bengal United has been postponed. It was scheduled for tonight but was moved due to Tottenham’s home game with Besiktas. The match has been rearranged for Tuesday, October 28.

Haringey’s next match is due to be at Hullbridge Sports on Saturday, October 11.

The club have announced Coles Park will be staging the final of the inaugural Walter Tull Memorial Tournament.

The final, which will be free to attend, will be the culmination of a month long tournament for the Under-16s and will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at 2pm.

Tull was only the second English professional footballer of Afro-Caribbean or mixed heritage to play in the top Division of the Football League. Tull, who played for Tottenham, served during the First World War and was killed in action during the Spring Offensive in March 1918.
