Ryan Mason has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur which will see him remain at the club under the summer of 2020.

The 23-year-old had not made his Premier League debut for Spurs until this season and has since made 14 league starts and one substitute appearance for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Mason had previously been out on loan in the Football League, taking in temporary stays with Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers - on three occasions - and Swindon Town, as well as spending time with French side Lorient.

The Enfield-born midfielder has established himself as a key part of Pochettino's team off the back of a stunning goal against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup in September.

An England Under-19 and Under-20 cap, Mason made his debut for Spurs against NEC Nijmegen in 2008 but had to wait until September 2012 for his second appearance - also in the Europa League against Lazio.

To date he has made 22 appearances for Spurs.
