Essex Premier Division leaders Haringey Borough are offering free entry to their home game with Takeley on Saturday, February 7.

Boro are on a remarkable run of 14 consecutive victories as they look to secure promotion after missing out by one point last season.

Manager Tom Loizou said: “The players have responded superbly and we have formed such a strong bond that is clearly reflected in their performances to date this season.”

Boro, who have dropped just three points this season, are well on their way to beating last season’s record of 21 successive league victories.

Chairman Aki Achillea, whose side host Eton Manor on Saturday, said: “Finishing 2014 with the best record in non league football was a massive achievement and very gratifying for a club such a ours.

“All the credit goes to Tom, his coaching staff and most importantly the players themselves who have applied themselves very professionally.”

Boro’s latest win came on Saturday as they thrashed Sporting Bengal United 4-1.

Cornel Cornea eyed up an opportunity to fire the visitors in front before a brace from Darrell Cox in the second half.

The hosts pulled one goal back but Anthony McDonald sealed the win.

Haringey Boro Women reached the League Cup semi-final after a 2-0 victory over Bury Town.

Alice Manu scored twice in extra time to book a last-four tie with Royston Town on March 15.
