Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon has exited White Hart Lane to join Premier League rivals Everton on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old joins the Toffees after almost ten years with Spurs but has fallen out of favour this season, making just three Premier League starts this season.

Everton have this evening confirmed the loan signing of the England international until the end of the season.

Manager Roberto Martinez told the club's website: “We all know what Aaron will bring to our squad with his experience and know-how, his involvement with England in two World Cups and the landmarks he has set in the Premier League.

“At 27, Aaron will be a really important asset to our squad and he will represent a real boost in terms of attacking options from now to the end of the season. His pace and trickery will fit in well at Goodison.”

Lennon has made 17 appearances in all competitions this season without scoring for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The former Leeds United player had been linked with Hull City and Stoke City earlier in the day.
