Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about the availability of 21-year-old Lyon forward Clinton N’Jie, according to French sports paper L’Equipe.

The Cameroonian has been at Lyon since 2010, when he joined their academy, and this season broke onto the first-team scene by scoring seven goals and collecting as many assists from 15 starts.

Although most comfortable as a striker, the 5ft 9in youngster is also capable of playing on the right wing or as an attacking midfielder.

The forward is tied down to a contract until 2019 and it will therefore take a large bid from Spurs to tempt Lyon into selling the young prospect, whose impressive season also earned him a handful of international caps for Cameroon.
