Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon is still on course to join Everton this evening, as expected, despite the close of the transfer window.

The Merseysiders reportedly filed the necessary documents in time to have until 8pm this evening to complete the signing of the former England international.

A deal worth £4.5million is expected to be struck with Spurs in the next two hours which will see Lennon follow American international DeAndre Yedlin, who has joined Sunderland on loan, out the door at White Hart Lane.

Lennon, 28, spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park where he made 14 appearances, scoring two goals.
