THE men of Haringey Borough were stunned by an extra-time equaliser which denied them victory over Chalfont St Peter.
The leader’s of Spartan south midlands league premier division ruled out Adam Scotcher’s 12th minute goal for Haringey.
Earlier in the game, Lloyd Opara almost doubled the tally in a one-on-one but he was stopped with a last-ditch tackle.
Haringey spent the game defying their lowly third-bottom ranking in the table, only to come unstuck near the final whistle.
The ball was carelessly lost on the half way line, from which Chalfont forced a corner, and Daniel Hughes powered home.
But the result nudged Haringey up one place in the division.
