THE London Skolars have another long trip this weekend.
They travel north to take on Gateshead Thunder.
Their latest Co-Operative Championship One match ended in a 52-16 defeat at home to Swinton Lions.
The Lions proved just too strong, though the Skolars did have their moments. Their tries came from Jaroslaw Obuchowski, Liam Roach and Josh Welsh.
In midweek, the Skolars also saw their Northern Rail Cup campaign come to an end., when they went down 34-12 to York City Knights.
Trailing 18-0 at the interval, the Skolars did well to make a game of it in the second half, Ron Montgomery and Stephen Ball both grabbing tries.
