Both sides survived early penalty appeals before Borough made the breakthrough in the 11th minute.
Adam Scorcher muscled his way in from the left and fired an accurate shot across ‘keeper Sam Styles low into the far corner.
Oxhey equalised only eight minutes later when a flowing move left Lee Armitt free to drive home a low hard shot from the edge of the penalty area into the corner of Brian Sealey’s net.
Borough enjoyed plenty of possession and created a number of half chances but paid the price for failing to put them away when Armitt scored a similar goal, this time to Sealey’s left in the 38th minute.
Six minutes into the second half a rebound arrived at the feet of Lloyd Opara unmarked and just inside the area and he drove the ball confidently past Styles.
Both sides showed plenty of endeavour but the defences had tightened up and no clear cut opportunities were allowed by either side but Sealey was forced into one important stop as he dived to his right and just managed to push a long low shot past the post.
A draw was probably the right result and the point was just enough to keep Borough out of the drop zone on goal difference at Hillingdon Borough’s expense and Borough have a game in hand on them; but the Kentish Town revival continued with a 1-0 victory over Hertford Town which lifted them a point above Borough although they have played four games more.
