The prospect of Louis Saha moving to Spurs appears to have moved a step closer tonight after he was left out Everton’s team to face Manchester City.
Speculation linking the Goodison Park forward with a surprise move to White Hart Lane has intensified throughout the day, with reports suggesting he could be on the verge of signing an 18-month deal.
It has also been claimed that midfielder Steven Pienaar could be moving in the opposite direction, back to his former club, but he has been named on the Spurs bench for their home clash with Wigan Athletic.
One player who is not involved though, is striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, who is said to be in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow.
Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega, who has also been linked with a deadline day move to Harry Redknapp’s side, is among the replacements for the Latics.
