Tottenham Hotspur have bid for French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris rejected by Lyon

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly had a bid rejected for French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris by Lyon.

Spurs have been in pursuit of a goalkeeper throughout the summer with Andre Villas-Boas looking for a possible replacement to 41-year-old American goalkeeper Brad Friedel.

The French captain looked to be a good option for the north London club but it appears their attempts have been rebuffed.
