Double signing for London Skolars

Rob Thomas has agreed a new deal with London Skolars
London Skolars have signed free-scoring half back Dylan Skee for the 2013 Championship One campaign.
The 26-year-old Australian has been outstanding for the side over the past two seasons.
Skee said: “Every year I’ve been here the club’s been building and hopefully next year we can get that promotion. Last year was a good season and next year we want to push on a lot more. It was a good season for me personally and hopefully I can push on as well.”
Skee made 22 starts for the Skolars last season scoring 226 points with 12 tries and 89 goals. His two tries and nine goals against North Wales Crusaders in March gave him a 26 point haul which beat his own record of 24.
Skolars head coach Joe Mbu said: “This is a great signing for us.
“Over the last two seasons Dylan has been one of our best players. He’s been a big influence and made a big impact and is the kind of player you can build the team around.
“Dylan’s a talented player with a lot of quality and he certainly knows his way to the try line. Those tries come on the back of the good work he does.”
Skolars have also signed prop Rob Thomas.
The 22-year-old front rower was on dual registration from the London Broncos last season but played most of his rugby for the north London club.
The pair join skipper Dave Williams in commiting their future to the club.
Thomas said: “I really enjoyed my time at Skolars last season and that’s one of the main reasons I decided to sign again this year. I’d played with most of the boys there when I was in the Academy and it was good to be back playing with them again.
“I had a few options but as I'm from London I wanted to stick with London and just see how far we can get with the Skolars.”
