The Rugby League World Cup Trophy will be on show when London Skolars take on London Broncos next year.

The match takes place at the HAC, home to the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London in January.

The annual match between London’s two professional rugby league clubs provides supporters of both teams a chance to see the new squads before they start their league campaigns and comes at the start of a massive year for the sport.

Howard Kramer, London Skolars general manager, said: “2013 promises to be an exciting season for London Skolars, and our Capital Challenge opponents London Broncos. Rugby League fans in London are eagerly looking forward to seeing the 2013 season getting underway, a season which will culminate with the Rugby League World Cup taking place and London hosting the semi-finals at Wembley.

“It is therefore a great honour to have the Rugby League World Cup trophy present at the Honourable Artillery Company’s grounds, in the City of London, when Skolars and Broncos go head to head. With Jason Robinson already confirmed as guest speaker and Kris Radlinski in attendance it promises to be a great day out for rugby league fans in London.”
