Within seconds of his introduction, Pelecaci curled an effort in from 30 yards to settle an end-to-end encounter.

Anthony McDonald put Boro ahead but Sawbridgeworth levelled before half-time.

In the 55th minute Darrell Cox put Boro back in front, only for George Wappett to level once more.

Walid Matata’s late penalty ensured Haringey Borough eased to a 3-1 victory over Waltham Forest on Saturday.

A two-goal lead was secured by the interval thanks to goals from Lynvall Duncan, who reacted quickest in the sixth minute, and Darrell Cox, who also followed in after 30 minutes.

Waltham Forest’s spell of sustained pressure brought them just reward seven minutes after the restart when Luke Ifil drove home a low close-range shot. Some vital Boro blocks kept Forest at bay and Matata’s 83rd minute penalty clinched the win.
