Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has backed new side Aston Villa to claim a vital win on his return to White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Villa are battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League and are only three points above the bottom three.
Sherwood was named as Aston Villa boss in February. He was sacked after a five-month spell in charge of Spurs last May.
Speaking after their 3-3 draw at home to QPR on Tuesday, Sherwood said: “We have a realistic chance of beating Tottenham.
“No-one will enjoy playing Aston Villa on that performance. I’m very confident that I will be able to keep Villa up.”
Spurs are expected to still be without goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after he was sidelined with a knee injury picked up against Leicester City last month.
Kyle Walker is another doubt after suffering a foot injury at Burnley on Sunday.
