Haringey celebrated a bronze medal for the fencing team at the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games last weekend at Redbridge Leisure Centre.
In the juniors competition, Haringey’s team clinched victory after a 45-36 success over Wandsworth.
With a 12th-place finish in the seniors event, the bronze medal was secured.
Fencing team manager Francesca Gill said: “It’s absolutely brilliant and I’m thrilled with it. I have to say, it was totally unexpected as well.”
The borough’s male hockey and male squash sides also eased through qualifying to book places in the final at Crystal Palace on Sunday, 5 July during a successful weekend for Haringey.
