Tottenham Hotspur full-back DeAndre Yedlin made his 20th international appearance for the United States national side last night as they got their Gold Cup campaign off to a winning start against the Honduras.
Yedlin, 21, has only appeared once for Spurs since his transfer from Seattle Sounders in August 2014 - as a late substitute against Aston Villa in April - but played the full 90 minutes last night in a 2-1 win.
The youngster, who has been linked with a loan move away from White Hart Lane this year following the arrival of right back Kieran Trippier, was used in a more advanced position than normal for the USA, featuring on the right wing, and wasted one good chance in front of goal.
Former Tottenham midfielder Clint Dempsey scored both goals for the defending champions.
