Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn against Monaco, Anderlecht and Qarabag in the group stages of the Europa League.

The draw took place earlier this afternoon and pitched Spurs against their opponents in the 1984 UEFA Cup Final, Anderlecht. It was the north Londoners who prevailed on penalties after Graham Roberts' late equaliser in the second leg.

A Dimitar Berbatov penalty ensured a draw for Spurs when the two clubs last met in 2007 and each of the three meetings between the two has ended 1-1.

Monaco and Spurs have never met in a competitive game but a friendly in 2013 at the Stade Louis II went in favour of the French side despite goals from Harry Kane and Andros Townsend.

Azerbaijani Premier League champions Qarabag have never faced the north Londoners and were knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers by Scottish Premier League holders Celtic earlier this summer.
