Uxbridge United 0 Haringey Borough 15 . . .
FA Women’s Cup first qualifying round . . .
THIS was an easy win over plucky but outclassed opponents whose cause was not helped by being reduced to ten players through injury midway through the first half with no substitute available.
The match was played at Brunel University and the opposition appeared to be made up of students of the University.
By the end of the game, they were down to nine, with Borough also playing one short through a second-half injury after all three substitutions had been made.
Samuella King opened the scoring with a crisp shot on the turn after 12 minutes and, by half time, had completed her hat-trick and was then substituted.
The second half introduction of Aisha Bolaji led to her bagging four goals and Marianne Sheena also netted twice in each half. Joselina Ferreira scored in the first half and Christina Oshodi, Ruth Williams and Katrina Smith each scored once after the interval.
Borough: Sarah Cleary, Karla Parker, Valene Simon, Stephanie Cooper, Katrina Smith, Annika Quartey, Christina Oshodi, Natasha Adjobia, Marianne Sheena, Samuella King, Joselina Ferreira. Substitutes used: Maria Gomes, Ruth Williams, Aishah Bolaji. Unused: Aime Davies
