IT HAS been a busy week for Spurs, and the Lilywhites have another busy one to come.
The transfer window finally closed on Monday and now manager Harry Redknapp can again give his full attention to things on the pitch.
The loan of Robbie Keane to Celtic was perhaps the biggest story of the day, but it was soon back to business for Tottenham this week, as the squad prepared for two important clashes against clubs from the Midlands.
Spurs host Aston Villa on Saturday, before travelling to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.
Villa, like Tottenham, are gunning for a place in the top four and will be looking forward to another trip to the capital, after leaving fortress Craven Cottage with all three points in a 2-0 win at Fulham last weekend.
Though Wolves are fighting relegation, Spurs will under-estimate them at their peril.
Mick McCarthy's men eearned all three points when the teams met at White Hart Lane recently.
Tottenham's last trip to the Midlands, to Birmingham City on Saturday, was something of a disappointment.
The Lilywhites looked to be heading for all three points thanks to Jermaine Defoe's goal, only to concede a last-gasp equaliser.
"We dominated the game, so I didn't really see the goal coming," said Redknapp.
However, he was quick to point out that the Blues have been in fine form of late, so the result was no disgrace.
"We've only had one defeat in 12 games, so we're not in bad form."
