Tom Huddlestone could be set to miss a portion of the climax of the season after he damaged ligaments in his ankle.

The midfielder suffered the injury during last weekend’s match against Everton.

Now the 23 year-old will undergo tests with a specialist to discover how serious the problem is.

Spurs won that game with goals from the Russian duo Luka Modric and Roman Pavlyuchenko, during the first half.

Yakubu pulled one back for the visitors.

Vedran Corluka overcame a dose of a spontaneous vomiting virus to play in that game.

He called it “a very big win”.

"The first half was really good. We defended well and when we had opportunities we took them.

We played very well first half but the second half was difficult.”
