Young Tottenham boxer Viddal Riley won gold at the Royal Navy Schools Amateur Boxing championship, last weekend.
The 12 year-old triumphed in Brentwood in the 50kg category, defeating Akeel Khaliq in the final to seal victory.
Afterwards, he celebrated with a slap-up meal. He said: ”It was a really good bout, I have been working so hard for this and am so pleased to have won.
“I have been boxing since the age of six and would love to box at the Olympics one day.”
This year’s championship was the fourth to be organised by the Royal Navy and Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) of England.
Captain of Naval Recruiting, Captain Mike Davis-Marks said: “We would like to offer all the boys involved our congratulations on their fantastic achievements.
“The levels of tenacity and spirit, such as those shown this weekend, are of such value both in and out of the ring.
“By joining forces with the ABA, we are really able to help showcase the future talent of Britain.”
