Spurs are thought to be monitoring Bayer Leverkusen keeper Fabian Giefer.
Brad Friedel has taken the starting spot between the sticks at White Hart Lane this season, but Redknapp is believed to be keen on a younger option to eventually replace the American.
The north London club could face competition for the 21-year-old’s services though, with Bayern Munich also thought to be interested.
