  • "Right backs have been bought and Hodson will tkae this guys place. The managers normally state anything about doyley at start of reign when they are looking to get fans onside.

Somebody has stated they have seen doyley go through ninety minutes completing ever pass long and short. Im sorry but that has statistically been proven by opta the opposite.

He has gone through games without completing a pass. I know hodson will take his place and maybe this testimonial will be his last game. we can all hope. i remember the response by the palace manager when there was a small rumour he might be going there. "ha dont make me laugh"

Lets face it there has never been any interest from anyone for this guy. he signs his contract on the understanding he wont do any better else where. Where else could a player who cant pass, runs like he has a illness and cant even seem to do throw ins anymore find a home than the family club. We all have made a joke out of doyley and the shouts of shoot are very amusing for past tne years... but i think its time to say goodbye and possibly good riddance."

Watford will play a side from Tottenham Hotspur in August for Lloyd Doyley's testimonial.

The defender confirmed Watford will play Spurs at Vicarage Road on Saturday, August 4 for his testimonial.

There is also expected to be a 'legends' game between the two clubs before the main event.

Doyley made his Watford debut in September 2001 and has gone on to make 370 appearances for the club, scoring one memorable goal.
