Harry Kane helped England Under-19s reach the European Championships as the Three Lions claimed a 1-0 win over Switzerland.
Kane featured from the start as Noel Blake’s side left it late to secure the win, with Saido Berahino’s injury time winner proving the difference.
The first half was a relatively even affair but it was the Swiss who threatened early on, as Sam Johnstone saved from Joel Geissmann’s free kick before denying Michael Frey twice and then Hekuran Kryeziou.
Kane provided England with their only real chance in the opening period as he saw his deflected low strike fall wide of the post to leave the sides level at the break.
The Spurs youngster was at it again shortly after the interval as he brought the first save out of visiting keeper Yannick Brecher before again failing to find the net with a free kick.
England enjoyed the better of the closing stages and were finally rewarded in the 94th minute, when substitute Berahino converted.
Ross Barkley slipped the West Bromwich Albion youngster in to beat Brecher and book England a place in July’s finals in Estonia.
