Tottenham Hotspur thought to have overtaken Liverpool in race to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson
5:11pm Tuesday 26th June 2012 in Local Sport
Spurs are thought to be leading the chase to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to the Daily Mail.
The Icelandic midfielder had looked set to rejoin Swansea City having spent time on loan with the club last season, but had a change of heart after Brendan Rodgers left the Liberty Stadium to join Liverpool.
The Reds were then thought to be in pole position to secure his services but Spurs are now believed to be the favourites.
The Mail reports that Sigurdsson has agreed personal terms with the north London club and could complete his move by the end of the week.
