International round up: Adebayor on target for Togo
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor added to his international goal tally on Wednesday night, scoring for Togo in their friendly against Morocco.
The 28 year-old forward scored the only goal of the game in Casablanca 16 minutes from time when his shot went in off the post.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris might not have had much club action since his deadline day arrival at White Hart Lane, but the Frenchman remains number one for les Bleus.
The France captain played the full 90 minutes for Didier Deschamps’ side who came from behind to beat Italy 2-1 in a prestigious friendly.
Cesare Prandelli named a strong Italy XI as well and they took the lead through Stephan El-Shaarway before Matheiu Valbuena and Bafetimbi Gomis won the game for France.
Defender Jan Vertonghen played the full 90 minutes for Belgium as they went down 2-1 in Bucharest to Romania.
Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke got the Belgian’s goal before Romani won it through Alexandru Maxim and Gabriel Torje.
Sandro was not involved for Brazil as they drew 1-1 with Colombia in New Jersey.
