Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is certain his side will come back fighting after their last minute defeat to Everton at the weekend.
The Portuguese head coach has expressed his relief that Tottenham have a free week and feels his players will reap the benefits.
Villas-Boas told tottenhamhotspur.com: "We now have a week to prepare and that’s important for us because we haven’t stopped for a month or so. Finally, we have a breather.
"The players can recover and I think you will see us at another level in these next two home games. We have to make the most of it."
Tottenham now have two consecutive matches at White Hart Lane against Swansea and Stoke City and Villas-Boas believes his team will show the character to respond.
"Two home games before the Christmas fixtures is good for us and we have to continue our performance and bounce back,” he said.
"We’ve showed good signs of ability to bounce back from adversity and I think we’ll do it one more time."
