Spurs' hopes of signing Internacional striker Leandro Damiao’s have received a boost after the 23-year-old said he still dreams of a move to Europe.
Tottenham have been tracking the Brazilian forward's movements for the best part of two years but Damiao's latest comments will give the North London club hope of finally sealing a transfer.
Damiao said: “I have a very long contract here. I am tied to the club and feel good in Brazil but I dream of playing in Europe.
"It is the best stage to be a footballer. I’d like to show off on another continent.”
Andre Villa-Boas has so far been unable to complete a deal for Damiao and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in the player too.
